Trusted collaboration for aviation

Every turnaround.One shared truth.

From regional airports to hubs: every process on one live timeline, every service confirmed on the apron. What you share, your partners see at the same moment.

Live Sequence of a sample A320 turnaround at 10:27, between on-block at 10:00 and off-block at 10:45. Deboarding, baggage unloading, potable water and lavatory are done; the last baggage unloading step ran over plan but stayed within tolerance. Cleaning started two minutes late and ended late. Catering had one late step and ended late. Fueling and boarding are running on plan. Baggage loading is running over plan and is using its tolerance budget. Doors closed is planned for 10:40, pushback for 10:42 to 10:45.

The cost of delay

More than 30 billion US dollars per year

Every minute on the ground has a price.

Late cargo, shorter holidays, missed connections: delays are costly. In the United States alone, the FAA estimates the annual cost of delays to airlines, passengers and the economy at about 33 billion dollars.

The product

One platform, from the first tap to the morning report.

Live Sequence

The turnaround, as it happens.

Every process is a bar on one live timeline. The moment a step is confirmed, its colour shows how it did against plan and tolerance.

  • One row per process, one red line for now.
  • Start, end and custom milestones such as Doors closed.
  • Add processes while the turnaround is running.
  • Export every turnaround as a history PDF.

Everyone you share with sees where the turnaround stands, at the same moment.

Two bars of a sample turnaround at 10:27. Cleaning started two minutes late, closed its three steps on plan and ended late. Baggage loading closed its first step on time; its second step is running over plan but is still covered by the tolerance budget.

Records from the apron

Trust, time‑stamped.

The people doing the work confirm each step with one tap in the GroundSync app. Device time and location travel with every record.

  • One tap per process step, right where the work happens.
  • Every record carries device time and location, and shows up on the map.
  • Works offline. Records sync later and keep their original time.
  • Corrections only by the responsible partner, in the correct order, and always visible.

The result: verified & confirmed timestamps for every step of the turnaround.

Proof of service

Every service on record.

GPU, de-icing, PRM, night opening: your teams record every service with quantity and duration, right where it is delivered. Nothing slips through, and billing starts from confirmed facts.

  • Every service per turnaround, with quantity and duration, extras included.
  • Airlines working with you on GroundSync confirm services digitally, no paper sign-off.
  • Both sides see the same confirmed services, so invoices raise fewer questions.
  • Export for your accounting, so invoices go out sooner.

Proof instead of queries: every service delivered is confirmed.

Reporting

Where the minutes go, and why.

Reporting turns confirmed records into lessons for every partner. IATA delay codes show how often each cause occurs and how much time it costs.

  • Turnaround level: total turnaround time, aircraft ground time, delay quota, late turnarounds.
  • Process level: start and end delay, overrun, share of late processes.
  • Resource level: delay by equipment, by location and by airline.
  • Saved flight number sets, CSV export and a daily overrun report by email.

Conversations about delays start from the same numbers for everyone.

Planning and resources

Plan people and equipment, not just the flight.

Attach a turnaround template to an imported flight, then assign ground support equipment and staff, by hand or automatically.

  • Turnaround templates attach to imported flights.
  • Assign equipment and staff manually or automatically.
  • Qualifications, certifications and travel times between locations are taken into account.
  • A calendar with day and timeline views.

The right people and equipment at the stand, travel times included.

Templates

Build the turnaround once. Run it every day.

The sequence template builder is a visual flow editor for whole turnarounds. You can build and change your templates yourself, and our support is there when you need it.

  • A visual flow editor with milestones and dependencies.
  • Process templates made of steps, each with a planned duration.
  • One tolerance budget per process, 4 minutes by default.
  • Configurable per organisation and per template.

How a good turnaround runs at your station lives in the template, not just in a few heads.

Areas

Your apron, mapped.

Draw apron areas, stands and locations as polygons on a map. The same places show up in records, planning and reports.

  • Apron areas, stands and locations, drawn as polygons.
  • Any parking position, remote stands included.
  • Travel times between locations feed into planning.

For every confirmed step you see not just when, but where on your apron.

A stylised apron map with a terminal, stands B10 to B14, remote stands R1 to R3 and two confirmed records at stands B12 and R2.

For every partner

One shared truth. Three perspectives.

Airline, airport and ground handler work toward one goal: an on-time turnaround. Your partners see the same confirmed facts you do, but only for the processes you share with them.

  • Nothing is shared until you share it.
  • You set who sees which process, before the aircraft arrives.
  • What you share is the same for everyone: confirmed on the apron, corrections stay visible.

You decide what is shared. The apron decides what is true.

One shared turnaround in the centre. Around it, airlines, airports and ground handlers each see only the processes shared with them; the others show as empty outlines. The selected partner is highlighted.

Reliable ground operations

GroundSync helps you cut delays and costs, keep passengers happy and decide on data you can trust.

How we calculate delay costs in detail

Getting started

Live in two weeks. Then a month to try it, free of charge.

  1. 01

    We talk about your operation.

Tell us about your turnarounds and the services you bill. Together we choose the processes for the pilot.

  2. 02

We build your processes, you learn along the way.

Your flights come in automatically. Within two weeks we build your processes as templates and train you as we go, so you can adjust them yourself afterwards.

  3. 03

Your team is ready in one or two hours.

Training works fully online if you like. A web app for the office, an app for phone and tablet on the apron.

  4. 04

A pilot month, free of charge.

At your station, alongside your existing systems, with no upfront investment. Then you decide, with predictable monthly costs.

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Does GroundSync replace our existing systems?

No. GroundSync connects with the systems before and after it: sensors, cameras, flight data and AODB on one side, billing, accounting, BI and reporting tools on the other.

How quickly are we live?

In two weeks we map your turnarounds completely and train your team. Then the free pilot month begins.

Where are our data, and who owns them?

GroundSync is GDPR-compliant and hosted in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Your data belongs to you; we process it only to run GroundSync for you.

What does our IT need to do?

No servers to run, nothing to install on site: we host and run GroundSync. Your IT mainly comes in when we connect further systems such as your AODB.

Which devices does the app run on?

On Android phones and tablets; an iOS version is in planning. The web app runs in the browser.

What does it cost?

The pilot month is free of charge, with no upfront investment. After that, you pay a predictable monthly fee.

What if the network on the apron is poor?

The app works offline. Records sync later and keep their original time.

Can we change our processes ourselves?

Yes. We build them with you and train you as we go; afterwards you change steps, planned durations and the tolerance budget yourself. If you would like help, our support is there for you.

Can airlines confirm our services?

Yes, when they work with you on GroundSync. Both sides then see the same confirmed services.
